I have been using Amazon Prime for many years now, and although I have had my fair share of issues ranging from fake items being sold to poor delivery estimates, Amazon's customer service, returns policy, efficiency, and systems are very good and have steadily improved over the years.
Most of my purchases (mainly electrical and electronic) are now from Amazon, with the more random and less dependable eBay coming in second. On many occasions I have surprisingly found Amazon prices, especially on new items, to be cheaper than on eBay, and there is no competition when it comes to customer service, with eBay being a bit of a joke if you expect a quick resolve when things go wrong.
Please note that I am referring to the Amazon Prime service that you have to pay a yearly subscription to use (about £79.00 at the time of writing this review). For me, the cost of this Prime membership is well worth it, but you will have to decide for yourself if this offers good value for money, as this will of course depend on your individual requirements, budget, and needs.
It would take something quite dramatic for me to stop using Amazon, but there's always room for improvements, hence the 4 rather than 5 stars.
I'am with Amazon around 13 years but i've decided to cancel my Prime membership. For some time i'am having issues with buying from Amazon and absolutely no one from their customer service is showing any interest in helping me. I've contacted them 3 times about the same thing and from conversation I know that they do not even read my messages. I've explain them where the problem is, i've provided screenshots as a evidence and nothing, they constantly telling me that they inform "some other department" about my issue and it will be sorted. Of course they didn't do anything, instead i'am getting some very odd and silly emails from them (every single time with the same odd advices like clear cookies in your browser ?).Absolutely disguisting.

Bought a Plasma Ball from Amazon. It broke after 5 months. Essentially nothing can be done, No refund option. Essentially its gone beyond the 90 day warranty period which basically means tough. I used to think there was a 12 month warranty on any product I bought in the UK however this is not the case. Be very careful using amazon! I used to use them a lot but thankfully this has taught me a lesson and it only cost me Seventeen pounds for the privilege. I will use a reputable seller in future.
I'm disgusted with Amazon and Bargain Gateway Ltd. I've spoken to them 4 times to say I received an empty envelope. Each person, and I'm being polite using that term as they are clearly incompetent, tells me it's sorted but now they've charged me for an empty envelope Don't use them. Charlatans
When I buy something and I don’t like, they can cancel it or exchange it without quibble. I love this policy that’s why I buy from Amazon. The delivery is very good, fast but they charged too much for Prime member. I only don’t like this company!!!
Buyers Be Aware Amazon try and put amazon Prime onto your account at a cost of £7.99 a month and when you ask for a refund they will only give you three months Jeff your a Genius , this will help the fees on your boat !!!!
I had 100% trust but not anymore. Probably because I’ve never had to deal with them so far. There was a very big promotion 60% OFF and when you buy 2 - you get 1 free. I’ve ordered 4 orders and the next morning I’m waking up with the email that my account might have been accessed by an unauthorised party and now all of my orders have been cancelled. I’ve been charged for only 1 order because was shown as dispatched but for the rest of the orders I’ve been refunded. However I have nothing on my Amazon account and the only proof are the emails with my orders. The people who are working there are not helpful at all. I’m still waiting for an answer but nothing.
GoodHad a problem with an order once but when I contacted their customer service it was solved. The men I talked to was very polite and understandable. He helped me and actually manage to revert the situation. I really wish I remembered his name to mention here.
Convenient and easy to use. Problems are easy to sort. Only downside is that you cant see the item before you buy.

I ordered an Xbox Wireless Controller for my grandsons birthday. When it arrived the controller was missing the back, and stick cushions and It was also covered it dirt. When I checked the invoice it said "Condition: Used - Like New Item will come in original packaging".
My first issue is that I ordered a NEW controller not a used item. And I certainly wouldn't have paid £48.00 for a used controller. Even if I had mistakenly ordered a used controller (Which to be fair is possible) The controller they sent was certainly not "Like New" as you can see from the photo's I have attached.
Now I have to say I am a regular customer with Amazon and I have NEVER had an issue with them in the past. I'm not sure if this controller came from a company that uses Amazon mrket place but regardless no controller should be sent out in this state.

Send out rude/inflammatory emails asking why your return products!
Well if they didn't send out faulty/poor quality items or not to brand standard, then customers would not have to return!
Maybe they should familiarise their selves with the Consumers rights act 2015, of their customers have a right to return!

I recently had cause to use their customer services and was amazed. Issue dealt with immediately and credit authorised as we spoke. I never bother to write reviews when items arrive as expected as it is taken for granted.However, I was so impressed with the after sales service I thought I must comment on it.
